In that case, you may want to occasionally put the keyboard on your desk when you head out for lunch. One exception, however, is that if you use a slide-out keyboard drawer, you may find that the drawer doesn’t pull out far enough to completely expose the solar cells to light. For obvious reasons, I wasn’t able to test this claim, but in real-world use, it means that if you’re using the K750 in most office environments, you’ll never have to worry about a low battery. It fulfils its role as a living room keyboard perfectly and the battery seems very durable, more so than the keyboard itself.In a well-lit office, the K750’s battery takes advantage of that ambient light to maintain a full charge according to Logitech, that would let you use the K750 for three months in total darkness. This one is clearly designed as a prototype, a test to see if the solar argument is commercially sufficient. In short, we need more competing keyboards, so that we finally have nice solar-powered keyboards. But the keyboard is still very comfortable to use if you like light typing. Finally, its shiny plastic is a bit of a toy.
Also, the sensors are dust nests and your keyboard quickly looks a bit lousy when hundreds of grains of dust come to star them and become unremovable unless you dismantle everything which doesn't prevent it from doing its job (apart from the small worries mentioned). My first one had a key that came apart/broken very quickly, the second one developed flaws in the response of one of the keys that randomly became unusable. Be warned that it is rather fragile and needs to be handled with more care than a battery operated keyboard of the same price, usually. Unfortunately, it is not unfortunately, because this very important asset in my eyes only slightly compensates for the weaknesses of the manufacture. The great strength of this keyboard is that it charges via its solar collectors, as you probably already know both economical and ecological, for me this should be the norm.
Almost unique on the market and that's a shame
